Tonga and Israel Visa Waiver Scheme

13 September, 2010. Press Release. Agreement between the Government of the State of Israel and the Government of the Kingdom of Tonga on Visa Waiver Scheme for the Passport Holders of Both countries

The Special Representative of Israel to the Kingdom of Tonga, H.E. Mr. Michael Ronen with residence in Jerusalem will be in the Kingdom on a farewell visit from Monday 13 to Thursday 16 September 2010. The Special Representative of Israel Mr Ronen shall make courtesy calls on Government officials including the Prime Minister & Minister for Foreign Affairs & Immigration and Defence, Dr. the Hon Feleti V. Sevele.

During Ambassador Michael Ronen's visit to Tonga, he will sign with the Secretary for Foreign Affairs & Principal Immigration Officer, Mr. Va'inga Tōnē, an Agreement between Israel and Tonga on a Visa Waiver Scheme for the passport holders of both countries. This will mean that obtaining a visa, for the purpose of entering the territory of either States will now no longer be required.

This Agreement will enhance and further develop the friendly relations already existing between the two countries.
