Commissioning of Houma new water supply system.

27 November , 2012, The Hon.Fanga Vaea together with His Excellency Dr. Kazuchika Hamuro, Japan’s Ambassador to Tonga commissioned the new water supply system for Houma village on Tuesday 27th November 2012. The new water supply system for Houma village built by Naryba Engineering Enterprises and Development Services is to help provide reliable, safe and clean water for the community of Houma with a new improved water supply system.


This project contributes to the Tonga Strategic Development Framework (TSDF) strategy #13 –Maintaining
and expanding access to safe water for all communities. The total cost of the project was TOP $172,724.80 funded by the Government of the People of Japan under the Japan's Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security program (GGP).


In attendance were Government Officials, members of Houma Community and other guests were also present to witness this special occasion.
