The Tonga Energy Road Map Implementation Unit (TERM-IU) is responsible for managing, coordinating, monitoring and reporting on the implementation of the TERM. The TERM-IU is seeking qualified Tongan candidates to fill the position of an Operations Officer. The successful candidate should have a university degree in either administration, accounting, business management or related fields; at least 5 years experience in Project Management and knowledge of Tongan Government and international goods and services procurement processes; experience in working with the country's international development partners; record of providing good leadership and support to senior managers, project teams and clients; and strong reporting and organisation skills as well as communication (verbal and written) and numeracy skills.
The position will be based in Nuku'alofa. The successful candidate will be offered an individual consultant contract for three (3) months with the Asian Development Bank. Based on performance there is potential for this contract to be extended for a further three (3) months.
