The christening was attended by Their Royal Highness Princess Salote Mafile'o Pilolevu Tuita and Princess Mele Siu'ilikutapu Kalaniuvalu-Fotofili and members of the baby's maternal families and relatives. The Prime Minister, Lord Tu'ivakano who is the paternal grandfather of the Hon. Simon Tu'ivakano was also accompanied by the Lord Fusitu'a, Lord Ve'ehala and Lord Fakafanua.
The special celebration began with a blessing from the Church and was conducted by the President of the Free Church of Tonga, Rev. Semisi Fonua who then performed the baptism of the first child of proud parents Hon. Titilupe Fanetupouvava'u Tuita - Tu'ivakano and Hon. Kiu Tu'ivakano.
Hundreds of the guests attended the congregation, amongst of which included the Deputy Prime Minister, Hon. Samiu Vaipulu, Chief Secretary and Secretary to Cabinet, Busby Kautoke and distinguished heads of government departments who came to show their support and well wishes for the new-born.
Despite the heavy outpours of rain, a small family reception followed thereafter at the Tu'ivakano residence at Tau'akiloto, Nuku'alofa.
