Centenary Church to host Queen's 85th Birthday

29 May 2011  A service of celebration and thanksgiving is to be held at the Centenary Church in Nuku'alofa, in honour of Her Majesty Queen Halaevalu Mata'aho who celebrates Her 85th Birthday today.

His Majesty King George Tupou V will attend the service with distinguished visiting delegations, Their Highnesses Tui Atua Tupua Tamasese Efi and Lady Masiofo Filifilia of Samoa, Aotearoa's e Maori King, Te Ariki Niu Tuheitia Paki and Ariki Atawhai and Fiji 's First Lady, Adi Lady Koila.

Heads of Diplomatic Missions, Cabinet Ministers, Nobles of the Realm will join members of the Royal Family and congregation.

The sermon will be delivered by Reverend Dr. 'Ahio, Royal Chaplain and President of the Free Wesleyan Church.

Her Majesty's great granddaughter, the Hon. Phaedra 'Anaseini Tupouveihola 'Ikaleti olo 'i Fangatapu Fusitu'a will perform a special item as part of the Birthday well wishes.

Following the church service, will be a Royal Luncheon at the Royal Palace in the afternoon.
