A STORM WARNING IS NOW INFORCE FOR TELE-KI-TONGA AND TELE-KI-TOKELAU COASTAL WATERS.
A GALE  WARNING REMAINS INFORCE FOR TONGATAPU AND ‘EUA.
A GALE ALERT REMAINS INFORCE FOR HA'APAI
A STRONG WIND WARNING REMAINS INFORCE FOR HA'APAI.
A HEAVY RAIN WARNING AND FLASH FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS INFORCE FOR HA'APAI, TONGATAPU AND 'EUA.

 

SITUATION

TROPICAL CYCLONE KENI, CATEGORY 2, WAS LOCATED NEAR LATITUDE 17.8 SOUTH AND LONGITITUDE 175.1 EAST OR 1080KM WEST NORTHWEST OF NUKU'ALOFA AT 07:00AM THIS MORNING. THE CYCLONE HAS AN AVERAGE SPEED OF 60 KNOTS (110KM/HRS) CLOSE TO ITS CENTRE. THE CYCLONE IS CURRENTLY MOVING EAST-SOUTHEAST AT A SPEED OF 11 KNOTS (20KM/HRS).
