The 87th General Conference encourages the women and men of Tonga, whether residing in Tonga or abroad, to come together in transforming rival and aggressive attitudes and practices, especially in terms of ecclesial and inter-college relations, geographical and racial biases.
As we prepare for new forms of governing and directing our nation, may we be in sync with one another in ways that will embody the core blessing of the Siasi Uēsiliana Tau'atāina ‘o Tonga (Methodist Church in Tonga): that God is with us.
The 87th General Conference therefore calls upon the people of the Methodist Church and of our island nation to be in solidarity with God, our King, our fellow citizens, and with our future.
