Ebony was one of seven young women contesting in this year's Miss Heilala Pageant which was held in Nuku'alofa from July 23-28, and was concluded with the beautiful spectacle of the usual Heilala Float Parade last weekend.
Miss Nuku is a graduate student from the Brigham Young University in Hawaii, having attained a Bachelor of Social Work. Ebony lives in Fanga and has interest in becoming a qualified child counselor.
Having won the 2012 the Miss Heilala title, Ebony wishes to pursue her studies with a Master of Social Work in the near future.
The Prize for the Miss Heilala 2012/2013 is a cash prize of $3,000 pa'anga (TOP$ 3000), a wardrobe worth $2,000 pa'anga (TOP$2,000), 2 return-tickets to Los Angeles, 2 return-tickets to Vava'u and 3 nights of accommodation at Puataukanave Hotel.
The Miss Heilala 2012/2013 will represent Tonga to the Miss South Pacific Competition in American Samoa in December.
