As from Monday of this week, November 12,
the T$1's and T$10's currency issues have been replaced by new notes carrying
the portrait of His Majesty Taufa'ahau Tupou IV for the first time. (left)
The other currency issues are being printed and will be in circulation early in the New Year.
Accountant General Mr. L.W. Robertson told the Chronicle that the new series will gradually replace the old series that carried the portrait of Her Late Majesty Queen Salote. (right)
