24th August, 2023 - A team of seven consisting of Mr. Kobayashi, YEC (Consultant), Ms. Zenigame, NBK (Supplier), Mr. Hashimoto, NEC (Ditto), Mr. Ito, NEC (Ditto), Mr. Iijima, NEC (Ditto), Mr. Togashi, DKK (Ditto) and Ms. Sakai, JICA HQs were in Tonga to carry out the warranty inspection of the Tonga Nationwide Early Warning System (NEWS) Project and to reporting on the result and issuing the certificate of completion.

A meeting was held on the 24^th August, 2023 with the Director of Communication, MEIDECC Mr. ‘Alifeleti Tu’ihalamaka and technical team as well with Tonga Broadcasting Commission (TBC) CEO, Mrs. Viola Koloamatangi and Mr. Solomone Finau Chief Engineer of the inspection on component 3 (MW Radio Equipment for TBC)  – inspection of TBC broadcasting station and Popua transmitting station.

The report of the final warranty inspection report was submitted 28^th August 2023 in meeting where it was accepted and signed by the Acting Director Mr. Lutoviko Falemaka. Mr. Kobayashi and team return to Japan on the 29^th August 2023.
