Cabinet Retreat targets restructure and strategic plans for 2012

His Majesty's Cabinet has gathered for a special Cabinet Retreat at the island of Pangaimotu to review the progress made by the new Government, and make strategic plans for the New Year.

Discussions to be held by the Cabinet Ministers will include Agenda items about the Government Restructure, achievements of First Year, the Tonga Strategic Development Framework (TSDF) and plan for 2012.

There will also be discussion on the Budget and Financial Resources for 2012.

The Retreat was  supported by teams consisting of the Chairperson of the Public Service Commission, Chief Secretary to Cabinet and the Secretary for Finance and National Planning, along with a few assistants, to prepare the program and inform the Honourable Cabinet Members of the detailed arrangements.

The Cabinet Retreat will close on the same day and members of His Majesty's Cabinet will return to Nuku'alofa.
