Business Structure and Operation
Businesses can operate either as a joint venture or as a 100% foreign owned company. Registration for a company is charged at T$414 per application by local business entities and T$759 per application from foreign businesses. Processing time ranges from 2 to 3 days depending on how quickly the required documents are completed. Requirements for company registration are provided below:
Requirements:
Completed application form containing the following:
- Notice of name reservation
- A document certified by at least one applicant as the company's constitution
- A certified document signed by at least one applicant that on registration the company will have adequate liquidity (a document labeled "form 2" is used for this purpose)
- The consent and certificate of every director (a document labeled "form 3" is used for this purpose)
- The consent and certificate of every company secretary (form 3 is also used for this purpose)
- The consent of every shareholder (a document labeled "form 4" is used for this purpose)
- The written authority of the agent that signed the form of consent referred to in paragraph 4 of the application form.
